Description

The Pricing Coordination Manager has the core responsibility of working with each member of the Palm Bay sales team to insure that wholesale price structure in each market reflect desired targets as set up by Portfolio Management.
This position insures that supports are appropriately utilized in each market, wholesale margins are appropriately managed and suggested retail prices reflect brand positioning.
The position also collects the necessary information to evaluate competitors’ activities in order to reformulate strategies by market as necessary.
The position requires some travel since pricing can only be handled during in-person meetings.
The position reports to the VP of Portfolio Management.

Specific Responsibilities:
• Maintain organized wholesale price grids by market and by brand
• Evaluate wholesale structures and retail margin requirements by market
• Design processes for reporting on a regular basis on state pricing, allowing for the necessary flexibility to react to competitive activities and insuring that information is always current
• Insure appropriate utilization of Pricing Supports as designed by Portfolio Directors for each brand
• Evaluate redeployment of price supports by state to help portfolio management to achieve goals while controlling price support spending levels
• Communicate with the National Accounts team to insure clarity on pricing for National Account programs
• Evaluate areas and opportunity for costs savings
• Participate to brand price positioning evaluations providing input on competitors’ activities
• Liaise with the compliance department to insure respect of state laws


Educational Qualifications & Experiences:
• Bachelors of Business Administration in finance, marketing or related field or
• 3 years experience in the CPG/Wine industry.
• A working knowledge of the wine and spirits industry with a clear understanding of the three tier system and the regulated nature of the industry
• A clear understanding of pricing structures and of wholesalers operations
• Ability to perform complex calculations on Excel sheets or other software tools provided to manage pricing
• A fluent knowledge of MS Office and end user enterprise planning systems such as Cognos, Business Objects or Hyperion.
• Strong organizational, communication and inter-personal skills.
• Demonstrated ability in multi-tasking and prioritizing workload while keeping in check quality and time constraints.
• Strong communication ethic in getting back to customers, suppliers and internal company personnel.
• Ability to develop and interpret reports evaluating price positioning, and opportunities in connection with the improvement of sales and financial results
• Experience with business process development and continuous improvement in the managing of day to day business.
• A sense of positive urgency in executing everyday responsibilities.
